Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (February 28, 2019) Silver Airways is proud to serve a large number of military communities throughout its Florida network and beyond. In salute to the dedicated and hardworking men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and in appreciation for their service, Silver Airways has introduced a discount for active-duty military traveling for leisure.

Effective immediately, all active-duty military (and their spouse and children) are eligible for an 11 percent discount* on all Silver Airways flights, including members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and reserve personnel on active duty status.

“Making leisure travel easier and more affordable for members of our military is one small way for us to give back and show our appreciation for all that the selfless, dedicated and hardworking men and women of our armed forces provide for all of us,” said Dermont Miles, U.S. Air Force veteran who served from Northwest Florida’s Eglin Air Force Base and now serves as Silver Airways Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. “From our Silver family to you and your families – We salute you! We thank you!”

Members of the U.S. Armed Forces may book their reservations for leisure travel with any travel agent or by calling their normal duty Travel Management Company for instructions. Military traveling on official business should continue to contact their typical Travel Management Company to purchase Silver’s contracted government fares.
