Flight Advisories

Silver Airways is aware that government mandates have resulted in restrictions on air travel due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Unfortunately, many of the restrictions will result in flight cancellations. We sincerely regret any inconvenience created by the travel disruptions.

Florida Flights

On March 24, the Florida government issued an Executive Order for all customers who depart from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to self-quarantine for 14 days after arriving into Florida.

Key West (EYW):

  • Health screenings remain in place at both Key West International and Marathon Florida Keys International airports for passengers traveling on non-stop flights from designated COVID-19 hotspot states. Each person screened shall isolate or quarantine at that person’s own expense for a period of 14 days or the duration of that person's stay in the County, whichever is shorter. Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS):

  • All flights to Destin/Fort Walton Beach have been suspended.

 

Bar Harbor and Boston Flights

The State of Maine announced that out-of-state visitors will not have to comply with the quarantine if they have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arriving in Maine. The official announcement is available here .


Effective August 1, 2020 all travelers entering the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including both out of state residents and Massachusetts residents returning home, will be required to comply with a new travel order. The travel order and other information is available at www.mass.gov/MATraveler or by texting “MATraveler” to 888-777. Passengers whose final destination is outside Massachussetts (connecting to another flight at BOS) are not affected by this order.


All individuals over the age of 18 and unaccompanied minors entering Massachusetts who are not coming from a COVID lower-risk state and do not fall within certain, limited exemptions, must complete a form upon or prior to entry to the state. The online form and directions to fill it out are available at www.mass.gov/forms/massachusetts-travel-form.

 

Bahamas Flights

Please see the current information Silver has available regarding traveling to The Bahamas. We will keep you updated as we receive new information:

  • All travelers to The Bahamas will be required to complete and submit an electronic application prior to their trip. The application is  available here . Failing to upload a negative COVID 19 RT-PCR Test will result in an automatic denial of entry.

Caribbean Flights

Anguilla (AXA):

  • We expect to resume flights starting November 1, 2020.

Antigua (ANU):

Culebra (CPX) and Vieques (VQS):

Dominica (DOM):

  • All visitors are required to fill out a form for COVID-19 screening . Visitors must also have a PCR test done before arriving to the island; those who can not present it will have to pay a fee at the airport to get it done.

San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU):

Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI):

  • Airport is open. We expect to increase service to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting August 5, 2020.

St. Croix (STX) and St. Thomas (STT) – USVI:

  • Passengers: Please be prepared for brief verbal screening or temperature check as applicable at the exit area as part of a newly enhanced health screening measure at STT and STX. Any passenger who meets initial screening criteria will be subject to a secondary screening process.
  • Airports are open and starting August 4 they will operate daily except Tuesday.
  • Seaplane is open, operating five round-trips Monday to Friday, and four round-trips on Sunday.

St. Kitts (SKB):

  • Commercial flights  to St. Kitts are suspended.

St. Maarten (SXM):

  • We expect to resume flights starting November 1, 2020.
  • Entry requirements for visitors arriving at SXM include testing prior to travel, wearing facial covering, and health screening procedures, among others.

Tortola, BVI (EIS):

  • Airport resumed operations on June 2. A new protocol is in effect to travel to the island which requires mandatory registration thru an online portal. Read all details here .
