Silver Airways is aware that government mandates have resulted in restrictions on air travel due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Unfortunately, many of the restrictions will result in flight cancellations. We sincerely regret any inconvenience created by the travel disruptions.

Florida Flights

On March 24, the Florida government issued an Executive Order for all customers who depart from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to self-quarantine for 14 days after arriving into Florida.

Key West (EYW):

  • Health screenings remain in place at both Key West International and Marathon Florida Keys International airports for passengers traveling on non-stop flights from designated COVID-19 hotspot states. Each person screened shall isolate or quarantine at that person’s own expense for a period of 14 days or the duration of that person's stay in the County, whichever is shorter. Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS):

  • All flights to Destin/Fort Walton Beach have been suspended.


Bar Harbor and Boston Flights

The State of Maine announced that out-of-state visitors will not have to comply with the quarantine if they have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arriving in Maine. The official announcement is available here .

Effective August 1, 2020 all travelers entering the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including both out of state residents and Massachusetts residents returning home, will be required to comply with a new travel order. The travel order and other information is available at or by texting “MATraveler” to 888-777. Passengers whose final destination is outside Massachussetts (connecting to another flight at BOS) are not affected by this order.

All individuals over the age of 18 and unaccompanied minors entering Massachusetts who are not coming from a COVID lower-risk state and do not fall within certain, limited exemptions, must complete a form upon or prior to entry to the state. Bahamas Flights

Commercial flights are allowed to travel into, within and out of The Bahamas.

The entry requirements for citizens, legal residents and visitors from abroad are:

  • Complete and submit an electronic application prior to their trip. The application is available at
  • Before departure to The Bahamas, a RTPCR COVID-19 molecular diagnostic test with a negative result within 5 days from the date of travel. (Until August 31st, 2020 the time between the negative test and travel date will be 10 days).
  • Upon arrival, mandatory quarantine at a government identified facility or any other appropriate facility as determined by the Ministry of Health, at traveler’s expense, for a period of 14 days. (Please note: hotels qualify as a quarantine site).
  • Undergo a RTPCR COVID-19 molecular diagnostic test at the end of the quarantine period.
  • A negative COVID-19 test result is not required for children under 10 years of age (mandatory 14-day quarantine still required).

As a condition of entry into The Bahamas, travelers must agree to monitoring by way of the HubbCat Monitoring Platform, the Ministry of Health, members if the COVID-19 Enforcement Unit, or unscheduled visits by the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

Citizens and legal residents who refuse to be monitored must quarantine at a government identified facility as appointed by the Competent Authority, at the traveler’s expense, for a period of 14 days.

Visitors who refuse to be monitored shall be deported at the earliest opportunity and until deportation will be placed in mandatory quarantine at a government identified facility.

Caribbean Flights

Anguilla (AXA):

Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI):

  • Airport is open and flights have resumed.

  • Airports are open and starting August 4 they will operate daily except Tuesday.
  • Seaplane is open, operating five round-trips Monday to Friday, and four round-trips on Sunday.

  • We expect to resume flights starting November 1, 2020.

Tortola, BVI (EIS):

  • Airport resumed operations on June 2. A new protocol is in effect to travel to the island which requires mandatory registration thru an online portal. Read all details here .
