Changing or Cancelling Your Flight

Due to the abundant call volume during this challenging time we ask that you wait until within 72 hours of your confirmed flight or if prior to confirmed travel, the desired flight date, to contact the Reservation Call Center. The schedules are constantly being evaluated and updated for cancellations and changes due to the situation so please wait until closer to travel.

If you booked with a travel agency or on a third-party site, please contact them for help. Thank you for your patience.

Flight Disruptions

Silver Airways is aware that government mandates have resulted in restrictions on air travel due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Unfortunately, many of the restrictions will result in flight cancellations. We sincerely regret any inconvenience created by the travel disruptions.

Please check the sections below for the latest updates as well as the status of your flight.


Florida Flights

On March 24, the Florida government issued an Executive Order for all customers who depart from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to self-quarantine for 14 days after arriving into Florida.

Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS):

  • All flights to Destin/Fort Walton Beach have been suspended.


Bahamas Flights

The Bahamas Government has announced that is suspending all incoming flights until further notice. The Bahamas COVID-19 information is available here.

Caribbean Flights

Anguilla (AXA):

  • All flights suspended thru April 3, 2020.
  • Airport is closed and will reopen pending Government approval.

Antigua (ANU):

  • All flights to Antigua have been suspended.

Culebra (CPX) and Vieques (VQS):

Dominica (DOM):

  • A limited schedule is currently flying
  • Airports scheduled to close on Saturday, March 28, 2020, will reopen pending Government approval.

San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU):

  • The safety of all Puerto Rican residents, our employees at SJU, and all visitors to our Island is our utmost priority as we work together to minimize the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Given how rapidly COVID-19 is spreading globally, due diligence is needed across all crucial ports of entry and exit to the United States to mitigate further contamination.
  • Passengers, please be prepared for brief verbal screening or temperature check as applicable at the baggage claim/exit area as part of a newly enhanced health screening measure at SJU. Any passenger who meets initial screening criteria will be subject to a secondary screening process.
  • You may direct any questions to the Puerto Rico Health Department and/or National Guard personnel at the airport.

Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI):

  • Last flight to the island was on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. All flights suspended and airports will reopen pending Government approval.

St. Croix (STX) and St. Thomas (STT) – USVI:

  • Airport operating a limited Flight Schedule – please check
  • Seaplane operating a limited Flight Schedule- please check
  • St. Thomas airport (STT) is closing daily at 5 pm.

St. Kitts (SKB):

  • Airport was closed at midnight, Wednesday, March 25, 2020, scheduled to reopen on April 7, 2020 pending Government approval.

St. Maarten (SXM):

  • All flights suspended thru March 31, 2020. Awaiting further updates from Government.

Tortola, BVI (EIS):

  • Carrying passengers outbound only (EIS to SJU) This restriction remains in effect thru April 6. Normal operations to resume on April 7, 2020 with a limited schedule.
